Rates keep rising

Mortgage rates hit a five month high this week as investors anticipate that the extension of the tax cuts and unemployment benefits will boost the economy. It appears that interest rates bottomed out a month ago at 3.875%. After five weeks of gain, 30 year rates are now approaching 5.0%, still a historically low rate.

Here are our weekend rates for buyers with 740+ credit scores:

Conv 30 year fixed ($125,000-$417,000): 4.75%

Conv 30 year fixed: ($417,000-$535,900): 4.875%

FHA 30 year fixed: 4.625%

FHA 5/1 ARM: 2. 875%

Jumbo 30 year fixed: 5.0%

Please note all rates reflect a 1% origination fee. Rates do vary by loan amount, credit scare, occupancy, and loan-to-value.
